Usher in the God Of Wealth 2025

Usher in the God Of Wealth (Year of the Snake 2025) 28.01.2025 (Tuesday) at 11:58pm We will usher in the God of Wealth “Cai Shen” on the eve of Chinese New Year. Devotees are to register at the temple and purchase a set of Cai Shen offerings at SGD$8.00/set. At 11.58pm, Master Taoist priests will lead devotees to usher in “Cai Shen” from the auspicious Direct North direction. After receiving “Cai Shen” in the new year, joss paper offerings are to be burnt while the joss sticks are to be brought home to be placed in the altar’s incense urn. Alternatively, you may place the joss stick in your living room until it burns out if you do not have an altar at home. Online Registration Devotees may register online to pre-purchase a set of “Cai Shen” offerings at SGD$8.00 and submit your Chinese name for the ushering in “Cai Shen”. You may collect the set of offerings at the designated counter in the temple on 27.01.2025 between 9am-6pm, or on 28.01.2025 between 9am-11.30pm. On 10 Sep 2024, Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple held the annual Mid-Autumn Celebration Dinner. Special guest was Mayor Fahmi Aliman (Mayor of South East district, MP for Marine Parade GRC and Honorary Advisor to Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple Association). 38th Seventh Lunar Month Celebration 2024

Dear Members, We thank you for your support for our 7th Lunar Month Celebrations. We have made the following changes to the celebrations: The prayer ritual on the 15th Day of the 7th Lunar month (18 Aug 2024) will be organized as per past practices. Members who wish to join the prayers are welcome to participate. The 7th Lunar Month Celebration dinner will be cancelled indefinitely. The 7th Lunar Month prayer pack will be prepared as per past practices. Members may pay for the $100 membership fee before or on the day of the praying ritual on 18 Aug.  Collection of the prayer pack will commence from 3PM on 18 Aug. Kindly produce your receipt for collection. If you have successfully auctioned for any Auspicious product(s) during the 7th Lunar Month Celebrations in 2023, you may from the date of this letter, visit our office to make the payment. Largest Display of Deities’ Paper Robes. Listed in the Singapore Book of Records 09.07.2024

During the birthday celebration period of Sheng Hong Deity, devotees of Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple donated a total of 3631 sets of deity robes, setting a new Singapore record of the ‘Largest Display & Burning of Deities’ Paper Robes’. The president of the Singapore Book of Records Mr Ong Gim Huat presented the certificate to the temple. In popular beliefs, people believed that deity robes are clothes of the deities. Donating of deity robes is a way to express gratitude to receive blessings from the deities. Usually made from paper, the robes are designed to look similar to those worn by emperors and generals in order to reflect their status. Deity robes offered by Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple include Sheng Hong Deity robe, Lady of Sheng Hong robe, Jade Emperor robe, 8th General robe, 9th General robe, Tiger Lord robe, God of Wealth robe, Deity of Love and Marriage robe, Tai Sui of the year robe and all of the deities situated in the temple. Registration starts roughly around the Lunar new year and ends after Sheng Hong deity’s birthday – which will be burned altogether.

Tai Sui Thanksgiving Prayer 2024

Led by our Master Priest and together with the Scripture Chanting Group and Taoist Orchestra, the Tai Sui Thanksgiving Prayer Ritual will be held from 11 to 15 December 2024 for a period of 5 days. “Bridge of Blessings” will be conducted on 15 December 2024 (SUNDAY) at 7.30pm. #2024 Tai Sui Thanksgiving Prayer for those born in the year of Ox, Dragon, Goat, Dog, or those born in the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th lunar months.
